Why rural pickups need more than a postcode
New Forest postcodes routinely cover a wide spread of properties, and a good number of homes and holiday lets sit down unmarked tracks that satnav either misses or misplaces. On an early airport run, in the dark, that is the difference between leaving on time and leaving twenty minutes late.
When you request a quote, give us the property name as well as the postcode, plus anything a driver would find useful: which side of the lane, whether there is a cattle grid, whether the gate is shared with a neighbouring property. We build that into the journey plan rather than working it out on the morning.
Livestock on unfenced roads is the other local factor. Ponies, donkeys and cattle have right of way and routinely slow the roads between Brockenhurst, Burley and Bolderwood. Our timings assume it; a national booking platform's do not.
