Articles and guides are published by King Taxi & Private Hirerather than under an individual byline, because they draw on the operational knowledge of the drivers and booking staff rather than one author. Where a page carries a “last reviewed” date, that is the date somebody in the business read it against current conditions.
Third-party charges— airport drop-off fees, for example — are checked against the airport's own page and carry the date we checked them. Airports change these without notice, so we link the source rather than asking you to take our word for it.
Journey times and road conditions come from our own driving, not from a traffic dataset. They are estimates, they are honest ones, and they are not guarantees. We say so wherever they appear.
Timetables, terminals and check-in requirements belong to the rail, airline, airport and cruise operators. We link to them and tell you to confirm rather than restating arrangements that change by season.
Our fares are the figures we will honour, and are published as starting prices with the conditions attached. We do not claim to be cheaper than anyone else, because we have not surveyed anyone else.
Some of what is on this site will go out of date, and some of it may simply be wrong. If you find something — a charge that has changed, a terminal that has moved, a journey time that does not match your experience — tell us and we will correct it rather than leave it.

Our private hire operator licence is number 225, held by King Transfer, issued by New Forest District Council. It is on the council's public operator register, which is a better check on us than anything we could write here.
