A different direction to Heathrow

Gatwick takes a similar time to Heathrow but heads the opposite way. From Brockenhurst we join the M27 eastbound, continue on the A27 past Chichester and Worthing, then turn north on the M23. It is around 93 miles and rather less of it is motorway than the Heathrow run.

The A27 through the Worthing and Lancing stretch is where this route loses time in the morning peak. That single section is the main reason a Gatwick departure sometimes needs an earlier start than the mileage suggests.

North Terminal or South Terminal

Gatwick's two terminals are linked by a shuttle that takes a few minutes but adds a walk at both ends. Airlines move between them, so the terminal on your boarding pass is the only reliable answer — check it close to travel rather than assuming last year's arrangement still holds.

Check your boarding pass and tell us which one, and we will drop you at that terminal's forecourt rather than at whichever the satnav picks. It is a small thing that saves a genuinely annoying twenty minutes.

Holiday flights and family groups

Gatwick is our most common route for package holidays and family travel, which shapes what the booking usually needs: more passengers, pushchairs, and sometimes a child seat or two. All of that changes the vehicle, so tell us the ages and the kit when you ask for the price.

The £185 guide fare is one way for a Sedan or Estate with up to four passengers. Five to eight passengers on this route are quoted individually — with a family's worth of hold luggage a six seater is often the honest answer rather than squeezing an estate.

Fares, vehicles and what is included

Every route priced in one table, what the fare covers and what is charged separately, and the passenger and luggage capacity of each vehicle class.

Questions

Airport transfer FAQ

Do you drop at both Gatwick terminals?

Yes. Tell us whether you are flying from the North or South Terminal and we will drop at that forecourt directly, rather than leaving you the inter-terminal shuttle.

Can you fit a family with pushchairs to Gatwick?

Yes, but the vehicle needs choosing rather than assuming. Tell us passenger ages, pushchairs and case numbers and we will quote the right size, which for a full family is often a six seater.

How much is a taxi from Brockenhurst to Gatwick Airport?

Our lowest one-way fare for this journey is from £185 for Sedan/Estate cars carrying up to four passengers — that is the price from the part of the New Forest closest to the route, so a Brockenhurst pickup is usually quoted above it. It does not include airport drop-off or car park charges. Send your pickup address, passenger numbers and luggage and we will confirm a fixed price in writing before you book.
