Route and timing

Luton is around 120 miles north of Brockenhurst: M27 to M3, a stretch of the M25 anticlockwise, then up the M1 to junction 10. Roughly two hours and ten minutes when the roads are clear.

Like the Stansted run it depends on the M25, but it leaves that road sooner, which makes it the more predictable of the two long northern routes. The M1 section is rarely the problem; the M25 between the M4 and M1 is.

Drop-off at the terminal

Luton charges for terminal drop-off and the approach road can queue at peak times. That charge is not part of the £210 guide fare — it is itemised separately on the quote we send you, so you can see exactly what it is, and there is nothing to sort out at a barrier with your luggage already in the boot.

We drop at the terminal itself rather than at a mid-stay car park. The DART shuttle from the rail station is not part of this journey — you are being driven to the door.

Charter, ski and seasonal flights

A good share of Luton bookings from this area are seasonal: ski charters in winter, package flights in summer. Both bring luggage that does not behave like a suitcase — ski bags, boot bags, golf carriers.

Tell us what you are actually carrying rather than just a case count. Skis in particular decide the vehicle on their own, and it is much better to establish that when quoting than on a January morning at 04:00.

Fares, vehicles and what is included

Every route priced in one table, what the fare covers and what is charged separately, and the passenger and luggage capacity of each vehicle class.

Questions

Airport transfer FAQ

Is the Luton drop-off charge included?

Not in the £210 guide fare — airport drop-off and car park charges are never included in our guide prices. It is added as a separate line on the quote we send you, so you can see the figure before you accept, and there is nothing to pay at the barrier on the day.

Can you carry ski or golf equipment to Luton?

Yes, but tell us when you request the quote. Ski bags and golf carriers determine the vehicle on their own, so we need to know before confirming a price.

How much is a taxi from Brockenhurst to Luton Airport?

Our lowest one-way fare for this journey is from £210 for Sedan/Estate cars carrying up to four passengers — that is the price from the part of the New Forest closest to the route, so a Brockenhurst pickup is usually quoted above it. It does not include airport drop-off or car park charges. Send your pickup address, passenger numbers and luggage and we will confirm a fixed price in writing before you book.
