Frequently asked questions.
How quotes, waiting time, luggage and cancellations work on a Brockenhurst or New Forest airport transfer. If your question is not here, get in touch.
Booking and quotes
How do I get a price?
Submit the quote form with your pickup address, airport, date, time, passenger numbers and luggage. We check the route and the vehicle, then reply with a fixed price. Submitting the form is a request for a price, not a booking — nothing is committed until you accept the quote.
Are the prices on the website the final price?
The fares shown are guide starting prices for a Sedan or Estate car with up to four passengers. Your quote reflects the actual pickup point, time of day, passenger numbers and luggage. Once you accept it, that is the price you pay.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can, particularly for flights departing before 07:00 and across school holidays and summer weekends. Every journey is pre-booked rather than dispatched on demand, so early requests are the ones we can hold.
Can I book a local journey rather than an airport transfer?
Yes. Local journeys are arranged by phone or email rather than the airport form — see the local taxi services page for what we cover.
On the day
How much waiting time is included?
We include 10 minutes of free waiting at a normal pickup address, and 45 minutes at an airport arrival measured from the moment the flight lands. Beyond that, waiting is charged at £5 per additional 15 minutes.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
If you have given us your flight number we check the arrival time before the driver sets off, so a delay does not mean a driver waiting or a driver who has already left. This is the single most useful thing to include when you request a return quote.
Where will the driver meet me?
At the address you give us. For Brockenhurst Station we agree a meeting point in advance, because the forecourt is small. For rural New Forest properties, please add the property name and any approach detail alongside the postcode — satnav coverage is patchy on the unmarked lanes.
Which airport terminal will you drop at?
Whichever one you are flying from. Tell us the terminal or the airline when you request the quote. It matters most at Heathrow, which has four widely separated terminals, and at Gatwick, where North and South are linked only by a shuttle.
Passengers, luggage and vehicles
How much luggage can you take?
An estate car comfortably handles four passengers with a full set of hold luggage. Tell us the number of cases as well as the number of passengers when you request the quote — we allocate the vehicle on that basis, and arriving with more than was quoted may mean we cannot carry it safely.
Do you have vehicles for more than four passengers?
Yes. Six-seater vehicles are available, and journeys for five to eight passengers are quoted individually because the right vehicle depends on how the passenger count and the luggage combine.
Can you provide child seats?
Yes, if you ask in advance. Tell us the ages of the children when you request the quote so we can confirm the correct seat type and availability.
Can you carry skis, golf clubs or a pushchair?
Yes, but tell us before we quote. Bulky items decide the vehicle on their own, and it is much better to establish that at quote stage than at 04:00 on the morning of the flight.
Changes, cancellations and payment
Can I cancel or change a booking?
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the pickup time. Inside that window a charge of 50% of the fare may apply, because the vehicle and driver have already been committed. To change details rather than cancel, contact us and we will re-quote.
What if nobody is at the pickup point?
If we cannot reach you on the number provided once the waiting allowance has passed, the journey is treated as a no-show and charged at 100% of the fare. Keeping your phone on and reachable on the morning avoids this entirely.
Is my personal information kept private?
Your journey details are shared only with the driver and booking staff who need them. Full detail is in our privacy notice, including how long records are kept and how to ask for a copy or deletion.
Something went wrong — how do I complain?
Email or call us with your booking reference. We aim to respond within 5 working days. Full terms, including the licensing authority you can escalate to, are on the terms and conditions page.
Ready to get a price?
Send the pickup address, airport, date, time, passengers and luggage. We will confirm a fixed fare before anything is booked.
